Oscar Niemeyer died in December 2012, 10 days before his 105th birthday. He was one of the most important figures of international modern architecture. In this documentary the Pritzker Prize-winning Brazilian architect reflects on his life and extremely prolific career. The film is the portrait of a celebrated and criticized man, including many images of his emblematic, statuesque buildings. Beside Niemeyer himself, the documentary stars other significant figures of Latin-American and Portuguese culture, like Chico Buarque de Hollanda, Brazilian singer, composer and poet; Nelson Pereira dos Santos Brazilian director and José Saramango, Portuguese Nobel Prize-winning poet and novelist.
